Drone Videography and Aerial Photography | Sunshine Coast

CASA-licensed and insured aerial video and photography for business, government, construction, real estate and tourism across Queensland.

Licensed, insured and compliant drone operations

Source Media produces aerial video and photography across Queensland, from our base on the Sunshine Coast. Project documentation, marketing content, site progress and inspections — captured from the air, by licensed operators, and delivered as finished content rather than raw footage.

Aerial capture once meant helicopters and light aircraft: expensive, slow to organise, and hard to justify for most projects. Drones changed that. We can now build aerial footage into a shoot as a matter of course, at a cost that makes sense for a single-day job.

We fly DJI platforms, capture high-resolution video and raw stills, and handle the full production from planning through to delivery.

Chris is a CASA-certified remote pilot, and we carry public liability insurance on every job. Much of the Sunshine Coast sits beneath controlled airspace around Sunshine Coast Airport and Noosa, so knowing where the boundaries fall — and what clearance a site needs — is part of quoting the work, not an afterthought. We integrate CASA-licensed aerial footage into our full video production service, giving your project scale the ground can’t capture.

For you that means no delay while permissions get sorted, and documentation your risk people will accept. Councils and government departments usually want evidence of licensing and insurance before anyone goes on site. We can send it with the quote.

Same-day shoot and delivery for a standard job. We deliver edited content or raw files, depending on requirements and time frame.

Often, yes. Parts of the Sunshine Coast sit under controlled airspace near Sunshine Coast Airport and Noosa. We check the airspace for your site before quoting and arrange any clearance required, so approvals don’t hold up your schedule.

Drones can’t fly safely in rain or high wind. We monitor conditions in the days before and reschedule rather than fly marginal weather — pushing through produces unusable footage and unnecessary risk
